Delta Wave is the product of a friendship between four people who have known each other so long that we communicate mostly through eye rolls and half-finished song lyrics.

Our musical Venn diagram includes everything from Guided by Voices, Lifetime, and Superchunk to a baffling amount of random punk and obscure trogolodyte rock. We take that mess of influences and filter it into indie-rock energy with punk velocity.

We started out self-recording our stuff in a garage, and the only difference now is that we have marginally better microphones. We have a strong DIY ethos and at this point we do all the art, screen-printing, and mixing ourselves. Part of that is because we like having creative control, part of it is because we really like arts and crafts.

We are essentially an autonomous, slightly-too-loud creative collective. The music is fuel for a decades-long friendship that has survived adolescence, bad haircuts, and countless backyard punk shows.
